These prices are for an unframed painting on canvas of a single horse or pet.
Add another horse or pet to the same painting (24 x 30 or larger) for an additional $300 each.
Add a human to to the same painting (24 x 30 or larger) for an additional $500 each.
SERIES PAINTINGS:
2, 3 or more related canvasses are a great way to incorporate paintings of multiple horses or pets. A series can be designed to fit a specific space, taking into consideration whether you will be framing the paintings together as a single unit or framing them separately.
PHOTO REFERENCE:
- First choice: is of course to use a series of my own photos as reference because that means I’ve met your horse and know something about him. Show photos usually work beautifully, or we can schedule a photo session to get the perfect pose.
- Second choice: a series of photos taken by another professional photographer. You’ll need to get permission from that photographer for me to use their photos in this way, and to pay any fees they require. I will need high resolution digital files.
- Finally: If you don’t have professional quality photos, email me what you do have. I might be able to work from them, but I might have to say no.
PAYMENT TERMS
- A 50% deposit is required to book a commissioned portrait.
- The balance, plus other fees (below) are due upon approval of final progress photos and prior to delivery of the finished painting.
- Monthly payments can be arranged too!
OTHER FEES:
- Crating and shipping To ensure safe delivery, all commercially shipped artwork is packaged in either FedEx approved art shipping boxes or custom built wooden crates. Shipping is via FedEx or FedEx Freight, contingent on the size of the painting, unless other arrangements are made.
- Framing can be done for an additional fee. Please be aware that framing may increase your shipping and crating costs.
- Sales tax will be collected on all artwork shipped within California.
- Customs and Import Taxes Customer is responsible for all import fees and duty on artwork shipped internationally.

TIME FRAME:
I schedule my painting time just like I schedule my photography time, and I accept a limited number of commissioned each year. If you are considering a portrait to be delivered during 2022-2023, start planning now!
